Pera, or Beyoğlu as it is known today, is the Europe of Istanbul. There are churches, schools, apartments, theaters, cinemas, hotels, cafes, bars, restaurants built around the magnificent embassy buildings, which were built by European countries and called palaces at the time.

Once it was Ottoman, Turkish, Muslim, Greek, Armenian, Jewish, Levantine, Italian, French, English, Genoese, Venetian, Dutch, Swedish, Russian. It was the most cosmopolitan, that is, the most multicultural place in the world.
